When I was in practice, I once attempted to trace money from a later investor in a Ponzi scheme into the house of an earlier investor (which had been purchased in part with the later investor&#039;s money). I don&#039;t know if it succeeded or not, because I had to go off on maternity leave. 

A terrible situation, but these Ponzi investment schemes give rise to all kinds of interesting equitable and restitutionary questions: knowing receipt, tracing, knowing assistance...</description>
